Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
3 For the LORD is a great God
And a great King above all gods,
4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture
and the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you would hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,
As in the day of Massah in the wilderness,
9 "When your fathers tested Me,
They tried Me, though they had seen My work.
10 "For forty years I loathed that generation,
And said they are a people who err in their heart,
And they do not know My ways.
11 "Therefore I swore in My anger,
Truly they shall not enter into My rest."

Who boast themselves of idols;

The Psalmist's Profession of Uprightness.
Psalm of David.
1 I will sing of lovingkindness and justice,
To You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
2 I will give heed to the blameless way.
When will You come to me?
I will walk within my house in the integrity
of my heart.
3 I will set no worthless thing before
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not fasten its grip on me.
4 A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will know no evil.
5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
him I will destroy;
No one who has a haughty look and an
arrogant heart will I endure.
6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the
land, that they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a blameless way is the one
who will minister to me.
7 He who practices deceit shall not dwell
within my house;
He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain
his position before me.
8 Every morning I will destroy all the wicked
of the land,
So as to cut off from the city of the LORD
all those who do iniquity.
